Six of a family die in accident

LARKANA, Nov 30: Six members of a family were killed and seven others were injured, three of them seriously, when a van rammed into a tree near Naudero, some 20 kilometres off here on Thursday.

According to reports reaching here, the Sehwan-bound van carrying the family of Gulzar Bhutto of Naduero was going to the shrine of Qalandar Lal Shahbaz hit a car while overtaking it and rammed into a tree on the outskirts of Naudero town.

Three occupants of the van identified as five-year-old Sikandar Ali, son Akbar Bhutto, Moomal, daughter of Bakhshal Bhutto, 13, Salma, daughter of Meeral Bhutto, 30, died on the spot.

People of neighbouring areas hearing the bang rushed to the spot and got out the injured from the van after breaking its doors.

The injured were taken to the Chandka Medical College Hospital.

Three others who were critically injured inspired their last in the CMCH Larkana.

They were identified as Najma, wife of Bakhshal, Basheeran, wife of Nazeer Ahmed, 32, Ameeran, wife of Meer Mohammed, 27.

The injured – Arif, 12, son of Irshad, Afsana, 18, daughter of Nizamuddain, Rifat, daughter of Akbar Bhutto, Nizamuddain, Salaman, son of Nizamuddain, 13, Amir, son of Nizamuddain and Dilashad Bhutto (van driver) were admitted to the CMCH.

The two unknown occupants of the car, which was slightly hit by the wagon, leaving car on the spot, escaped the scene to avoid the public wrath.

The Naudero police had taken car (AAW-934) in its custody for further investigations.
