Dacoits kill PTCL employee

LAHORE, Nov 30: Robbers shot dead a PTCL employee on resistance and deprived citizens of cash and valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees on Thursday.

Four masked-robbers stormed into Barkat Joseph Masih’s house in Ichhra and held family members at gunpoint. They shot at Joseph when they met with resistance and escaped without loot.

The injured was rushed to the Services Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Robbers barged into a house in Faisal Town and escaped with cash, jewellery and other valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees.

Two robbers came to Saleemullah Building & Materials, held the owner at gunpoint and took away Rs50,000 in cash and a cell phone.

Two men deprived Abid of Rs2,000 in cash and a cell phone on Zarar Shaheed Road in Defence while as many armed motorcyclists snatched cash in thousands and a cell phone from a passer-by in North Cantonment.

In two separate incidents in Race Course area, two passersby were deprived of cash and cell phones while armed robbers snatched cash and a cell phone from a passerby in North Cantonment.

Two motorcycles were stolen in Mughalpura while another one was taken away on Lower Mall.

While two cars were driven away from the Lytton Road and South Cantonment areas, respectively.
