Provincial forest minister Dr Ashfaqur Rehman said this at a meeting held here on Thursday to review the arrangements for tree plantation.

He said 5,000 saplings would be planted in every cooperative housing scheme.

He said saplings were also being planted in schools, hospitals and parks and sold at nominal rates at 508 sale points set up by the department. — Reporter
