Four killed in Bajaur

BAJAUR, Feb 16: Four people, including two of the same family, were killed and another was injured in different incidents in the tribal agency here on Friday.

Sakhi Gul and his young son Ikram died, while his other son Jawad received shrapnel injuries when unidentified assailants lobbed a hand grenade into their house at Kagga area here on Thursday night.

Locals said that Sakhi Gul had a property dispute with some of his villagers, that has claimed lives of eight people from both sides during last several years. They said the hand grenade attack was a result of the feud.

In other incident, Arjumand was shot dead allegedly by Hazrat Gul over a money dispute at the Zagai village of Mamond area. The killer escaped after the murder.

According to locals, Hazrat Gul owed some money to Arjumand on account of timber. When Arjumand demanded the money, Hazrat Gul refused to clear the debt.

On the night of the incident, Hazrat Gul attacked Arjumand at his house and killed him on the spot.

A 15-year-old boy, Darwesh, who was hit by a pick-up (DR-1221) on Friday morning and admitted in a hospital succumbed to his injuries. The local authorities arrested the driver of the vehicle and registered a case against him.
