Bandits rob passengers near Khanpur

SUKKUR, Nov 28: A group of bandits held the passengers of a Karachi-bound coach hostage and deprived them of cash, jewellery, mobile phones and other valuables near Khanpur on late Monday night.

Reports reaching here said that the bandits who were travelling in the coach took out their weapons when the coach neared Khanpur, robbed the driver and passengers of whatever they had and fled.

KILLED: Pano Akil police registered a case against 50 Chachar tribesmen on Tuesday following the killing of two Korai tribesmen in Janan Korai village on Monday.

Reports reaching here said that armed Chachars raided the village and opened indiscriminate firing killing Wazir Ali Korai and Mohammad Hassan Korai on the spot and injuring two minor boys, Shabaan and Mohammad Ghani.

The villagers said that the double murder in revenge for the killing of Ghulam Mustafa Chachar, who was reportedly murdered by Korai men two months ago.

KIDNAP: Police saved a minor girl from being kidnapped in Pano Akil on Tuesday.

Reports reaching here said that three-year-old Shumaila, daughter of Suleman Zangejo was playing outside her home when the accused Kaleemullah allegedly snatched her.
