KARACHI, Nov 27: The couple whose residence was raided by police and the National Accountability Bureau personnel on Thursday night was assured on Monday that no harassment would be caused in future.

Businessman Khalid Javed and his wife, Nasim Kausar, who had collapsed in the Sindh High Court Chief Justice Sabihuddin Ahmed’s courtroom on Friday afternoon, met the chief justice on Monday afternoon in the presence of NAB Deputy Prosecutor-General Shafaat Nabi K. Sherwani.

They were told that the late night raid at their residence in Block-11 of Gulshan-i-Iqbal would be probed and they would be informed of the outcome of the inquiry within 10 days. They requested that their and their children’s cellphones snatched by the raiding party should be returned in the meantime. — Staff Reporter
