KARACHI: Imtiaz resigns PML posts

KARACHI, Nov 22: Former Provincial Minister Imtiaz Ahmad Shaikh has resigned from the offices of Pakistan Muslim League-Q’s Senior Central Vice President and Member of the Executive Committee in protest against the provincial party leadership.

Mr Shaikh said some top members of provincial party leadership had spared no effort to prevent his family from winning the PS seat in Shikarpur by-election.

He made these allegations in a letter to the PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujatta Hussain, a copy of the letter was sent to the party’s secretary general Mushahid Hussain Syed.

Mr Shaikh said he felt he had no option left except to part ways with the party.
