KARACHI, Nov 14: Six vessels carrying steel, lube oil and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was relatively slow as only three ships, Induruwa Valley to offload soyabean meal, C. Friend to offload DAP fertiliser and Bulduri to load molasses, were berthed after the departure of seven.

The departed ships were led by Kota Merdesa, Wadi Al-Rayan, Global Provider, Swift Surf, Shalamar and Al-Marwah, while San Jiang Kou, Bulduri, Iran Shahryar and Swat are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves modest where a total tonnage of 93,316 tons comprising 28,380 tons of export tonnage including 3,259 tons of rice and 64,936 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Sky Star, to load lube oil, Thor Champion, Hyundai Highway, Y.M. Fortune and CMA CGM Simba, with containers and African Shark, with 10,500 tons of steel cargo.
