LAHORE, Nov 13: Pakistan wicket-keeper Kamran Akmal claimed that the pitch of the ongoing first Test against West Indies at the Gadhafi Stadium was not easy for batsmen to bat on.
Kamran, who hit 121-ball 78 in Pakistan’s first innings, said at a press conference on Monday that the pitch was not easy and the batsmen had to play both spinners and fast bowlers carefully.
About his batting abilities, he said that he focused on both the areas – batting and wicket-keeping – to serve his team better.
Kamran said Pakistan were in a position to win the first Test but they had to get rid of two key batsmen Brian Lara and Shivnarine Chanderpaul.
