TOBA TEK SINGH, Nov 11: The Punjab government has expressed dissatisfaction over the performance of special magistrates regarding check on prices in the district.

DCO Nawazish Ali stated this on Saturday at a district price control committee meeting on Saturday.

He said the performance of magistrates in other districts was satisfactory as they have controlled the prices and prevented hoarding of commodities.

Many committee members expressed concern over failure of livestock and dairy development department in controlling the sale of substandard mutton and beef in the district. The DCO directed the magistrates and the officials concerned to control prices and ensure provision of good quality meat to the people.

CAR STOLEN: A car was stolen on Saturday from Iqbal Nagar locality.

Shoaib, a pesticide company sales officer, told police that he had parked his car (MLK-1097) outside his house and found it missing a few hours later.
