THATTA, Nov 9: Activists of the PPP and STP observed a hunger strike in Gharo town on Thursday in protest against statements of PML leaders supporting construction of the Kalabagh dam.

MPA Sassui Palijo, Luqman Malkani, Sattar Lohar and Ashraf Jokhio participated in the hunger strike.

A large number of people also joined the hunger strike and expressed their solidarity with the Sindh cause.

Sassui Palijo said that Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim was betraying Sindh and its people by favouring construction of Kalabagh dam.

She said that he was issuing cautious and calculated statements on the issue and it was time to expose his misdeeds.—BoC
