Man held for killing niece

MARDAN, Nov 8: A man has been arrested for killing his teenage niece in the name of honour. The girl was shot dead three days ago in Muhallah Bajuri. The girl’s stepmother, however, claimed that she had committed suicide.

But, people of the area rejected the claim and informed police that the girl had not committed suicide but had been gunned down, because her family members believed that she had illicit relations with a boy.

Police have arrested by her uncle, Sarfaraz, on the charge of killing the girl.
