BADIN, Nov 6: Differences between the district nazim of Badin and members of the district council have deepened over what UC nazims alleged unfair attitude of the nazim to their demand for development schemes.

A 10-member committee of UC nazims, led by Riaz Taharani, Raza Shah, Noor Shahani, Mir Hussain Bux and Jabbar Thebo held second meeting of the PML-backed councillors in the district council hall on Monday.

The meeting finalised a line of action against the district nazim.

Over 30 councillors attended the meeting. The committee decided to apprise the provincial party chief and the Sindh chief minister about the injustices and arbitrary attitude of the district nazim while sanctioning development schemes.

They said that the nazim was causing losses to party interests by ignoring the party workers.

They said that the nazim had a bureaucratic mindset rather political one. They said that PML workers were not being given preference in the public works.

They said that they would launch a protest campaign against the district nazim after November 15 and would table a no-confidence motion against him.
