Bank manager, son booked for fraud

GUJRANWALA, No 5: A bank manager and his son were booked for embezzling Rs5 million worth of rice pledged with the bank in Aimanabad on Sunday.

Reports reaching here said that complainant Shamsul Haq, the owner of Madina Rice Mills, Audho Rai village, had pledged rice worth Rs5.2 million at a godown for obtaining loan from the bank. Manager Muhammad Younas Bhinder along with his son Azam and another accomplice Sheikh Muhammad Azeem stole the rice from the godown. Later, the manager got a theft case registered against the rice miller. After a thorough probe, the police exonerated the mill owner from the theft charge.

The complainant informed DPO Mian Muhammad Asif who ordered the registration of the case against the bank manager and his son.
