KARACHI, Oct 31: The Islami Jamiat Talaba has expressed concern over irregularities in admissions at Dow Medical College and Sindh Medical College and demanded inquiry into the allegations through a Supreme Court judge.

In a statement issued here on Tuesday, IJT General Secretary Hasan Hammad claimed that authorities were deliberately trying to create controversies in the process of medical admissions. Results of entry test were changed several times before announcement and even after passage of two weeks they failed to issue a final list.

He alleged admission committee of Dow University of Health Sciences was trying to entertain their favourites and due to this, deserving students and their parents were deeply concerned.

IJT leader asked the governor to take notice of alleged irregularities in admissions at DUHS and order an inquiry as it was done in the case of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences.—PPI
