KARACHI, Oct 31: Gulshan-i-Iqbal Town Nazim Wasay Jalil on Tuesday ordered construction of service road and footpaths on the University Road from Nipa to Safari. During his visit to the area, he said that work on this project should be initiated at the earliest. He also visited nursery of Gulshan Town in Gulistan-i-Jauhar and ordered its expansion and improvement.

In a statement issued, Wasay Jalil expressed his condolence over the demise of Ziaul Haq Qasmi and prayed for the deceased.

Meanwhile, Jamshed Town continued the fumigation drive to control dengue virus.

Fumigation was carried out in residential and commercial areas as well as empty plots of the town.

A special complaint cell in this regard was also set up in the town office on the directives of Town Nazim Muhammad Arif Ajakia.

He urged people to cooperate with the town administration in this regard and contact the officials concerned in case of any complaint on phone numbers, 4547214- 4324620. The complaint centre would work round-the-clock.

Meanwhile, Liaquatabad town administration also carried out fumigation in different areas. More that 0.2 million handbills were also distributed to create awareness about the precautionary measures amongst residents against dengue fever.

Fumigation was carried out in residential and commercial areas, private and government schools, mosques, Imambargahs and other public places.

Town Nazim Usama Qadri has appealed people to cooperate with town administration in this regard and contact on phone number 6687021 if fumigation was not carried out in their respective areas.
