Dacoits injure man

LAHORE, Oct 30: Dacoits injured a man on resistance and made off with cash, cell phones and valuables in several hits on Monday.

Saleem, a resident of Millat Road, was on his way after withdrawing Rs27,000 in cash from a bank when two robbers riding a motorcycle intercepted him on Ansari Road in Islampura and demanded cash. When he put up resistance, they shot at him and escaped with cash and cell phone.

The injured man was taken to Mayo Hospital where his condition was stated to be out of danger.

Four armed men stormed into the house of Jameel in Wasanpura, Shadbagh, and took away Rs300,000 in cash, 70-tola jewellery worth Rs900,000 and valuables.

Two motorcyclists intercepted Zahoor in Defence and snatched Rs250,000 in cash from him at gunpoint.

Unidentified robbers deprived a citizen of cash and a cell phone in Iqbal Town.

STOLEN: Two cars were driven away from Gulberg and Wahdat Colony, respectively, while a motorcycle was stolen from the Qila Gujjar Singh area.
