Karachi Port operations

KARACHI, Oct 28: Seven ships carrying containers and to load ethanol are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where nine ships were berthed during the last two days. They are: Maersk Arkansas, Gallant Wave, Oel Aishwarya, Calvin P. Titus, and Viking Merlin, to unload and load containers, Pacific Emerald, to offload coal, Atlantic Express, to offload steel and general cargo, Salam-4 to unload and load general cargo and Mrch Sedef, to load ethanol.

Sailing was also active as a dozen vessels departed. Leading among them are Gulf Bridge, Y.M.Star, Viking Merlin, Energy Ranger, Zhen Hua-16, National Dignity, Iran Shahryar, Mega-2, Iran Kordestan, SC Fortitude, and New Vega.

Eastern Sea, Mac Andresew Swala, Gallant Wave, Taikoon, Mesaieed, Oel Aishwarya, and AGIOS Nectrios are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.123 million tons comprising 30,343 tons of export cargo including 2,673 tons of rice and 92,489 tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Al-Marwah, to load ethanol, Andino, Park, Pu He, Jade-C, Kota Permai, Wester Moor, with containers, and Thor Sofia, to load machinery.The following vessels are due on Monday: Iran Tabatbaei, with containers, Monique, with steel and Dragonis, with logs.
