JHANG, Oct 27: Seven people were killed and 26 injured, seven of them seriously, in three road accidents in the suburbs of Jhang on Friday morning.

The first accident occured near Rasulpur, 25 km from here, on Jhang-Sargodha road at 5.30 am, when a Sargodha-bound bus coming from Multan turned turtle. Six passengers, including two women and as many infant girls, died on the site of the crash, while 22 people were injured.

Those who perished were identified as Arif, Amila, Naseem, Shagufta, Amna and Sultan Jehan of Multan.

Two seriously injured women, Marriam and Sakina, were shifted to Allied hospital, Faisalabad, while Naseem Bibi was shifted to Nishtar Hospital, Multan.

In another accident which took place near Paccawala on Sarogdha road in the afternoon, motorcylist Zafar Lakhnana, a schoolteacher, was killed after his bike was hit by a van.

Four persons were seriously injured when the car they were traveling in crashed into a roadside tree near Kort Khera, 15 km from here on Jhang-Bhakhar road at about 7 am.

ROOF COLLAPSE: Two women were buried alive after the roof the room they were sleeping inside collapsed on Wednesday night in Mohalla Kapahian, Jhang Sadar.
