LAHORE, Oct 21: Strict security arrangements were made at the Lahore railway station from where hundreds of people boarded four Eid special trains to go to their hometowns on Saturday.

Senior railway officers told this reporter that directions had been issued to the police officials to keep a vigil on all passengers, without disturbing anyone.

All entry and exit points to the city station were properly manned and incoming passengers and their luggage was checked with the metal detectors while a number of policemen were seen on patrol on all the platforms.
