RAWALAKOT, Oct 19: The Dhal Kot bridge on Jhelum river has been closed for heavy vehicles and traffic has been diverted to Kulyari Road, says a press release issued here on Thursday.

SO Highways Fazl Hussain Dar, quoting a report of the central design Muzaffarabad, said the bridge had become outmoded and two of its plates had already collapsed.

To avoid any eventuality, the passage of heavy vehicles with cargo from the bridge has been banned. Light vehicles are allowed to use the bridge. Empty heavy vehicles can also pass through the bridge.—Online
