MANSEHRA, Oct 19: Two people were killed and four others were injured when a jeep plunged into a ravine while negotiating a sharp bend near Damgilla on Thursday.

Police said the accident occurred near Dagilla and the jeep was on its way to Balakot from Mansehra. The driver was killed on the spot while his mother Ms Sosan, wife of Ghulab Khan, died in hospital.

The injured were identified as Nazakat, Bibi and two children Aamir and Faiza. One of the injured is in critical condition.

SCHOOL REOPENS: A school in Dader which was destroyed by the earthquake last year has been rebuilt.

According to a PTV report, a double-storey school building had been built in Mansehra which in just three months with the help of USAID.

A school for girls is also under construction in the area.—APP
