LAKKI MARWAT, Oct 18: Lakki Marwat Nazim Humayun Saifullah Khan has said that the Federal Flood Protection Programme (FFPP) has approved a plan to protect the public and private property in the district from flash-floods.

He was talking to nazims and elders of the area after inspecting the proposed site for the construction of a dyke near Dallokhel on Wednesday.

“The flood and drainage division D.I. Khan has floated tenders for the construction of such dykes after the FFPP released Rs5.558 million for the purpose,” said the nazim, adding that the Dallokhel dyke would cost Rs2.43 million.
