Protest against police torture

KHAIRPUR, Oct 18: People from Qadir Dad Mashori village including women staged a protest demonstration outside the office of DPO on Wednesday with the body of a minor girl who they alleged had died of police torture.

The villagers, Karam Hussain Mashori, Ms Subhana and Ms Sakina Mashori, told newsmen that an infant, Rehana Mashori, died of police torture.

They said that Naushahro Feroze police barged into the houses of Karam Mashori, Sadat Mashori and thrashed the dwellers injuring Himath Ali, Nazeer Mashori and the girl who later died.—Correspondent
