Corruption alleged

Published February 15, 2002

HYDERABAD, Feb 14: Twenty members of the Hyderabad District Bar Association, in a joint statement, have expressed grave concern over the alleged corruption in the office of the sub-registrar of Hyderabad city.

They said that when the lawyers contacted the sub-registrar office for the sub-lease of flats, they were refused registration on the ground that a ban had been imposed on the sub-lease of flats.

They, however, said that the office refused to show any notification under which such a ban had been imposed.
