KARACHI, Oct 18: A middle-aged man was gunned down by unknown persons on late Tuesday night in the Landhi area. Police said Mashal Khan, 50, was standing in front of his house in Majeed Colony, Sector 2 of Landhi, when two masked men on a motorcycle came and shot him in the chest before fleeing.

Police said the victim died before he could be shifted to the hospital.

The TPO of Landhi said that according to the initial investigation the killing was driven by personal enmity.

The family had moved to Landhi about a year back from Hazara division, police said.

Quoting family sources, police said that family members had identified the suspects involved in the shooting.

Citing the cause of the enmity, family members told police that the dispute arose from the refusal of a marriage proposal.

CRUSHED: A young man was crushed to death by a train at the Drig Road railway station on Wednesday.

Police said the victim was identified as Imran, 22. He was crushed under the Bolan Mail.
