Seven faint after breaking fast

GUJRANWALA, Oct 17: Seven members of a family fainted after eating contaminated food at iftari in Lohianwala locality here on Tuesday. The family of Faiz Rasool broke their fast with different items, including samosas. They fainted soon after iftari and rushed to the DHQ hospital. Those who fainted are; Faiz, his wife Riffat, sons Zainul Hasan, Ainul Zia, daughter Faiza and relatives Asghar and Faryad Ali.

HOUSE ROBBERY: The wife and son of a trader were injured by robbers in Shahbaz Colony on Tuesday.

Fourteen robbers entered the house of Azmat by scaling boundary wall. They held his family at gunpoint, collected gold jewellery worth Rs450,000, Rs200,000 in cash, four mobile phones and other valuables. They thrashed his wife Rukhsana and son Ghulam for putting up resistance.

Police have registered a case against.

ILLEGAL DETENTION: A court bailiff raided Kali Soba Chowki, Wahando, and recovered Farhan, Allah Rakha and Nisar Ahmad who were detained without registration of a case and produced them before court here on Tuesday.

The court summoned the SHO and investigating officer and censured them on keeping them in illegal confinement. He asked the DPO to take action against the officials.
