ISLAMABAD, Oct 16: The Alliance for the Restoration of Democracy (ARD) Chairman and PPP President Makhdoom Amin Fahim will meet Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif in London on Tuesday (today).

Talking to Dawn from London, ARD Secretary- General Iqbal Zafar Jhagra confirmed the Tuesday meeting between Mr Fahim and Mr Sharif.

Mr Jhagra, however, said it would be an informal meeting and the two leaders would only discuss the agenda for the October 19 meeting between PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto and Mr Sharif. He said Pakistan Muslim League-N President Shahbaz Sharif would also be present in the meeting.

Mr Jhagra, who is also the secretary-general of the PML-N, said the meeting was taking place on the request of Mr Fahim who had been staying in London for the past many days. Mr Jhagra has specially been called by Nawaz Sharif for October 19 meeting between the two former prime ministers.

PPP information secretary Sherry Rehman is also leaving for London on Wednesday to join Ms Bhutto in her meeting with Mr Sharif, and there are reports that party general secretary Raja Pervez Ashraf is also expected to leave for the UK in a day or two.
