NEW DELHI, Oct 12: Pakistan skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq, currently serving a ban of four One-day Internationals following the forefeiture of the Oval Test against England, is arriving in India for the Champions Trophy to play a role off the field, a private media enterprise announced here on Thursday.

Inzamam will closely follow and commentate on the performance of Pakistan and other teams for the Indian television network a day before the main round of Champions Trophy gets underway on Sunday. "We are proud to introduce Inzy at a new crease in front of the Indian audience," said Anas Baqai, director of Propel Media Pvt Ltd, an India-based company. "But that's not all, there is even a bigger surprise in store," he said.

Without quite divulging his plans, Baqai said his company has contracted six other prominent Pakistan cricketers including Younis Khan, the Pakistan captain for the Champions Trophy. Other players in his stable are Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Yousuf, Abdul Razzaq, Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Sami. —Agencies
