SIALKOT, Oct 12: Three robbers raped two wives of a labourer in Pindi Panjoraan village near here on Wednesday night.
Police said 12 robbers stormed into the house of Sadiq. Three of them took his two wives to a room where they raped them.
They took away with valuables worth thousands of rupees.
The raped women were admitted to hospital.
Kotli Said Mir police have registered a case with no arrest.
REPAIR: The irrigation department has failed to repair the banks of BRB canal in complete disregard to the chief minister’s orders issued about a year ago.
The chief minister ordered repair of the canal banks after a wagon plunged into it leaving eight people dead on Sept 27, 2005.
It is learnt that both the banks of the canal have never been repaired in the past several years and have been in dilapidated condition.
