KARACHI, Oct 4: The German Consul-General, Hans Joachim Glderlin, accompanied by Karachi Naib Nazim Nasreen Jalil visited the trauma centre of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital on Wednesday.

During his visit to the ICU, CCU, casualty ward, ventilation department and other sections of the hospital, Mr Hans expressed satisfaction over the provision of facilities and free of cost medicines to patients. He hoped that the patients from other cities would also avail these facilities at the trauma centre.

Nareen Jalil informed him that development budget of health department had been raised up to 90 per cent in the current year’s budget while Rs3.37 billion had been earmarked for health department which was eight per cent of total budget of the city government.

Hospital’s rehabilitation committee chairman Dr Waqar Kazmi also spoke.—PPI
