KARACHI, Oct 2: Two bullet riddled bodies were recovered in Gulshan-i-Maymar on Monday.

The bodies were two to three days old, and victims are in their early 30s. They were shot repeatedly in head, police said, and the bodies were found in Rasool Bux Goth.

Police shifted the bodies to Abbasi Hospital.

In another incident, a man was shot dead by unknown persons in Sultanabad late Sunday night.

Police said unknown persons scaled the walls of house of Azeem Khan in Sultanabad and shot him before fleeing, the incident occurred at 2 am, police added.

Police said suspects didn’t take away any valuables from the house which suggests that the killing was the result of some personal enmity.

Police shifted the body to Jinnah Hospital.

KILLED: A young man died and three others were injured in an abortive dacoity at a jewellery shop in Shah Faisal Colony on Monday.

Police said four armed suspects barged into the shop of Azam Jewellers, to rob the shop, however, the inmates raised an alarm, forcing the bandits to flee. However, they opened fire indiscriminately while escaping resulting in injuries to several persons.

Police said one of the injured, Mustafa, was being rushed to Jinnah Hospital but he succumbed to his wounds in the way. Other injured were also shifted to JPMC for treatment, police added.

ARRESTED: Police arrested six suspects following a shootout in Qasba Colony late Sunday night and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession.

TPO Site said police were tipped off about the presence of armed suspects in a hide out near Qasba Colony ground.

Police encircled the area. On which the suspects opened fire on the police party. The police returned the fire and succeeded in arresting six suspects, Sajid Khan, Abdul Razzaq, Irshad Khan, Imran Khan, Anwar Ali and Rehim Khan.

Five TT pistols and a dagger were recovered from their possession. In addition, a taxi (JM-9947) and three cellphones were also recovered from their possession.

The suspects was involved in dacoties in Sharea Noor Jehan, North Nazimabad, Liaquatabad.
