KARACHI, Oct 2: Naib Nazim Nasreen Jalil has said that collective efforts produce more effective results than individual efforts and if various NGOs would work along with the city government, it is going to have more positive impact.

She was speaking as chief guest on the occasion of distribution of commodities and sewing machines in Qasba Colony held under the auspices of Karachi Galaxy Lions Club District 305 S-1. At the ceremony, food items were also distributed among some 500 people.

She urged the non-governmental organizations to contact the city government and said that their inter-action would be arranged with nazims of towns and union councils to widen the scope of service to humanity.

Nasreen Jalil said that service to humanity was like worship and the nazim was working day and night to serve people without any discrimination. Referring to the ongoing work for development of road infrastructure, she said that people who were facing inconvenience at present would enjoy comfort in coming days after reconstruction of roads.

She said the city government was strengthening its institutions with particular focus on health and education. She said its top priority was to raise the living standard of people.—APP
