Usman Tariq slams double century

KARACHI, Feb 13: Usman Tariq hammered a career-best 210 and Rehan Rafiq an unbeaten 102 as Bahawalpur ran up a mammoth total of 526 for declared in their first innings in the Quaid Trophy Grade-I tie against Sargodha at Sports Stadium in Sargodha Wednesday.

The home team lost opener Khurram Niazi for a duck but recovered to reach 56 for one at close of play on the second day.

Usman, who was 163 overnight, batted for seven hours and 40 minutes and faced 342 deliveries. The second-wicket partnership between Usman and skipper Bilal Khilji (68) realized 210 in 226 minutes.
