ISLAMABAD, Sept 30: Taking strong exception of the financial irregularities in six ministries and divisions during the tenure of the former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, the special committee of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the National Assembly has summoned its secretaries and chairmen on Monday.

The meeting of the special committee would be presided over by chairman Riaz Fatiana.

The meeting would investigate financial irregularities, fraud, misuse of powers and extra payment in the ministries of Information Technology and Communication, Women Development, Social Welfare and Special Education, Prime Minister Higher Commission, Environment Division and Economic Affairs Division.

The auditor general would present his report in this connection while the chairmen and secretaries of the respective ministries and divisions would respond to the allegations.
