KHAIRPUR: Protest again lawlessness

KHAIRPUR, Sept 27: Activists of literary, social and cultural organisations hold a rally in Kumb on Wednesday to protest against the worsening law and order situation in Kotdiji taluka and kidnapping of landlord Mohib Ali Bozdar.

The joint secretary of Sindhi Adabi Sangat, Dr Mushtaq Phul, Dr Wazir Ali Bozdar of Sindh Graduates Association and activists of Dharti Drama Society and other organisations participated in the rally.

The leaders said that police had failed to recover the kidnapped persons and now efforts would be made to get them released through a tribal committee.

ROBBED: Armed robbers deprived two brothers of cash, mobile phones and other belongings near Chandia Moor on Wednesday.

Reports reaching here said that the robbers snatched Rs25,000, mobile phones and other valuables from Mohammad Aslam and Jan Mohammad, fruit sellers, when they were going to Sukkur.
