Sami inspires MHCC with breezy knock

KARACHI, Sept 26: A blistering knock by Test paceman Mohammad Sami inspired Mohammad Hussain CC to a 57-run win over Delhi City Gymkhana in the 21st Karachi Gymkhana AKD Ramazan Twenty20 cricket tournament at KG Ground on Tuesday.

Sami blasted 46 off just 20 deliveries with six fours and a brace of sixes, Aamir Iqbal hit 47 off as many balls while Naumanullah cracked four fours and two sixes in his 25-ball 46 as MHCC raced to 192 for six in 20 overs.

Delhi City Gymkhana, in response, were restricted to 135 for seven with Tariq Rasheed making 37 with five hits to the ropes.

Spinners Atif Maqbool and Azam Hussain took five wickets between them.
