Two police officials suspended

SHEIKHUPURA, Sept 26: The Sheikhupura range DIG on Tuesday suspended two police officials from service for dereliction in duty. DIG Anwar Virk paid a surprise visit to the Ferozewala police station and found sub-inspector Arshad and ASI Nazir absent from duty. He suspended both of them from service and ordered them to report at the police lines.

The overall performance of the police station was also not satisfactory. So, the SHO was given a warning to improve performance.

INJURED: Twenty-five passengers were injured, four of them critically, when a bus overturned near Kala Shah Kaku here on Tuesday.

A bus was on its way to Lahore from Muridke when it overturned near Kala Shah Kaku after its tie-rod failed. As a result, 25 passengers sustained injuries and were taken to hospital where the condition of four of them was stated to be critical.— Correspondent
