QUETTA, Sept 26: Balochistan Minister for Transport Mir Habibur Rehman Mohammad Hasni said on Tuesday that new CNG buses would be introduced in the city to control pollution.
Addressing a meeting, he said that the provincial government was working on an agreement with a commercial vehicles manufacturing firm and the plan would be implemented soon.
City Nazim Mir Maqbool Ahmad Lehri, RTA Secretary Iftikhar Ahmad and Quetta DCO Dr Umar Babar also attended the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Mr Lehri said that the old buses would be replaced with 1,000 new buses.
The nazim said that the city government would also launch a shuttle service from Quetta bus stop to Hazargunji bus stop for the convenience of commuters.—APP
