KARACHI, Sept 26: Five ships carrying palm oil, DAP fertiliser and chemicals are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where two ships, Kota Permai to unload and load containers, and Maersk Barry, to offload palm oil, were berthed after the departure of four.

The ships, which departed included Wester Moor, Eric G. Gibson, Eagle Mill Waukee and Makran, while Kota Permai, Johar and Pacific-Sun are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side thanks to larger handling of liquid tonnage, rising to 0.114m tons, including 9, 103 tons of export cargo and 0.105m tons of import tonnage including 7,018 tons of imported sugar.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Stolt Avenir, with 4,000 tons of palm oil, Y.M. Moon, Hyundai Stride, Kota Mesra, with containers and Da Peng Hai, with 39,994 tons of DAP fertiliser.
