KARACHI, Sept 24: Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq left for London on Sunday for the International Cricket Council disciplinary hearing in the aftermath of last month’s forfeited Oval Test fiasco.

Inzamam faces charges of ball-tampering and bringing the game into disrepute at the two-day hearing which starts from Wednesday.

Pakistan refused to take the field in the fourth and final Test in protest at accusations of cheating by umpires Darrell Hair of Australia and Billy Doctrove of the West Indies. The umpires later awarded the match to England.

Inzamam, who has been retained as captain for next month's ICC Champions Trophy in India, faces a possible ban of 2-4 Tests on the first charge and 4-8 One-day Internationals if found guilty of the second.

But the Pakistani skipper was confident that he will be free from both the charges.

“ I did nothing wrong at the Oval and everything I did there was pure for the honour of the nation so I do not have any fear,” Inzamam said.
