LAHORE, Sept 23: Wapda and Karachi Port Trust registered wins in the Pakistan Premier League at different grounds on Saturday.

Wapda staged a comeback to inflict a 2-1 defeat on Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) at Model Town ground .

KPT stunned star-studded KRL 1-0 in Rawalpindi.

A 84th minute goal by international Ashfaq Ahmed helped Wapda beat KESC.

Earlier, KESC took the lead through Sajid in the 40th minute. Imran Niazi scored for Wapda in the 60th minute to equalize 1-1. It was the fourth consecutive defeat of KESC.

KRL, having services of six South Asian gold medallist players, failed to display anything praiseworthy against KPT. The all-important goal of the match was contributed by KPT's skipper Lal Bakhsh Lala in the 31st minute.

KRL managed 13 points from six matches with four wins, a loss, and a draw while KPT having seven points from five matches.
