NEW DELHI, Sept 22: Four athletes from three different nations were caught doping at last month's South Asian Federation games in Sri Lanka, Sri Lankan Olympic Committee president Hemasiri Fernando said on Friday.

“Two Pakistani athletes and one each from Sri Lanka and Nepal have tested positive for banned substances,” he told Reuters from Colombo.

Fernando said the 'A' urine samples sent to an accredited laboratory in Malaysia had returned positive, but the names or the disciplines of the athletes would be revealed only after all procedures were completed.

“No Indian athlete has tested positive,” he said.—Reuters
