MIRAMSHAH, Sept 21: An Afghan national was shot dead in the restive North Waziristan Agency on Thursday on the charge of spying on the Taliban for American forces, sources said.

They said that the bullet-riddled body of Wazir Khan, son of Noor Gul, was found near a checkpoint on the Miramshah-Ghulam Khan road.

A note in Pashto was found on the body which said: “American agents and enemies of Islam will face the same consequences.” The chit also carried address of the slain Afghan.

His body was sent to his native place in Khost province of Afghanistan.
