‘Transfers pre-poll rigging’

Published September 22, 2006

LAHORE, Sept 21: The Alliance for Restoration of Democracy (ARD) has termed transfers and postings of SHOs in PP-157 as pre-poll rigging by the government.

Speaking at a joint press conference here on Thursday, ARD candidate Rana Tajammul Husain, MNA Khwaja Saad Rafiq, Mian Marghoob and Zakariya Butt alleged that the SHOs were harassing alliance’s supporters in the constituency.

They also alleged that the government had stopped development funds of PPP MNA Samina Ghurki while the exchequer was being used for ensuring victory of ruling PML nominee in bypolls.
