GUJRANWALA, Sept 21: A case was registered against six lawyers on the orders of a woman civil judge on charge of manhandling her father and brothers on the issue of parking a vehicle here on Thursday.

Civil judge of Azad Kashmir, Ms Yasmin Bashir told police that lawyers manhandled her father Bashir Vian, president of the District Stamps Vendors Association, and brothers Wasim and Zahid over the parking issue and later registered a false robbery case against them. The Civil Lines police arrested them and got physical remand.

The Civil Lines police registered a case on her orders against Rana Bilal, Amir Munir Bagri, Faizanullah, Gulfam Gajjar, Umar Farooq Cheema and Chaudhry Muhammad Rafiq.

Meanwhile, the District Stamps Vendors Association and the District Bar Association condemned each other during their meetings held here and demanded that cases registered against them should be taken back.

HOSPITAL: The Punjab government has given an approval for providing machinery worth Rs15 million to local social security hospital besides enhancing the number of beds. This was stated by Punjab social security commissioner Syed Tahir Raza Naqvi while speaking at a meeting organized by divisional association of doctors here on Thursday.
