QUETTA, Sept 19: The Joint Action Committee for People’s Rights (JACPR) has called upon the government to end military operation in Balochistan and launch an independent probe into the killing of Nawab Akbar Bugti.

The demands were made by Dr Kaiser Bengali, JACPR chief and leading economist, while talking to newsmen here on Tuesday.

Earlier, he led a delegation to the Bugti House to express condolence with Nawabzada Jamil Bugti and Nawabzada Talal Bugti. The delegation included Reahat Saeed, Arif Khan, Barkatullah, Ayub Qureshi, Mian Abdul Qayyum, Nadeem Ahmed, Asad Butt, Perveen Saeed, Nigar Barkat, Meher Taj and Sitara Husain.
