NAROWAL, Sept 18: About 50 people, including bride and bridegroom, fell unconscious after taking meal at a wedding ceremony in Siddiqupura locality on Monday.
At the walima reception of Muhammad Saleem, someone reportedly mixed some intoxicant in the food. After taking meal, about 50 guests, including bridegroom Saleem and bride Asma, fell unconscious and were shifted to DHQ hospital. Some of them are stated to be in a critical condition.
Some of the victims have been identified as Shahida, Mariyam, Samina, Sumaila, Humera, Anam, Majid, Imran, Majeed, Amjad, Abarat Ali, Asif and others.
