VEHARI, Oct 5: At least 23 members of a family were injured, two of them seriously, on Friday in a road accident on the Vehari-Burewala Road, some five kilometres from here.

A wagon, carrying a family of Liaquatpura locality to a nearby Chak 166/EB, overturned when one of its tyres burst. As a result, 23 people sustained injuries who were admitted to the local DHQ Hospital. Two of them were shifted to Nishtar Hospital, Multan, for their serious condition.

Those injured include Bashiran Bibi, Shamim Bibi, Barkat Bibi, Mushtaq Ahmed, Muhammad Hussain, Muhammad Shafi, Bashir Ahmed, Wasim Ahmed, Hamidan Bibi, Munir Ahmed, Abdul Sahar, Iftikhar, Mujahid Ali, Maryam Bibi, Zubaida Bibi, Sardaran Bibi, Muhammad Siddque, Abid Hussain, Nasim Bibi, Sharifan Bibi and Sughran Bibi.
