KARACHI, Sept 15: A man killed his ex-wife, her mother and shot at her brother before committing suicide in Site area on Friday.

Ali Raza, ex-husband of Rukhsana, barged into her house in Bawani Challi, Site early on Friday morning. He shot at Rukhsana, her mother Sherzada and brother Rehmat Ali. Both mother and daughter succumbed to their wounds while Rehmat Ali was injured.

Police said other family members locked themselves in a room with children and called the police for help. Following the incident, Ali Raza shot himself in temple.

According to police, Rukhsana had married Ali Raza some eight years back, but three months back she got “Khula” from a court in Sawat.

Police said that Ali Raza had the custody of his two children Sajjad and Waqas.

“Raza used two pistols to carry out the killing,” a duty officer of the Site police station said.

LJ ACTIVIST: An activist of Lashkar-i-Jhangvi was killed in mysterious circumstances.

Police said Abdul Shakoor was brought to the emergency department of Civil Hospital by unidentified persons early on Friday morning. Shortly afterwards, he succumbed to his wounds.Police said that the deceased was a resident of Lyari.

Two arrested: Police arrested two suspects and recovered weapons and valuables from their custody.

They were accused of looting a citizen Anwar Pasha at Mahmoodul Hasan Road near Ferozabad.
